There was reason for celebration at the Acadian Baptist Center where a new worship center was completed in May, but then coronavirus pandemic hit.

Acadian Baptist Center is on the verge of breaking ground on a new 1,000-seat worship center to include state-of-the-art sound, stage and lighting, according to James Newsom, director.

The Acadian Baptist Center, near Richard, has served as host for Campers on Mission for the past 25 years.
