The sound in the Liberty Theatre on Tuesday morning was a cacophony of instruments and yet about 80 visitors from across the nation seemed happy as they could be creating the musical chaos. Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot had just emerged from the theater to welcome the group and ventured some of them might want to come back to Eunice. “You might want to stay and you might want to live here,” he told them. “They are seeing about our culture and our history,” he said of the visitors. Many of the visitors are leaders in National Heritage Areas from Alaska to Massachusetts to California.
