LSU Eunice’s seventh championship run actually began in 2019 when the Bengals lost in the NJCAA Region 23 tournament.
LSU Eunice baseball survived a marathon 14 inning classic with Western Oklahoma State to score a thrilling 5-4 victory to clinch the program’s 7th NJCAA Division II National Championship on Saturday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.

By mid-January, the LSU Eunice basketball teams are approaching conference play.
The National Junior College Athletic Association announced it is moving all sports to the spring semester which will affect LSU Eunice’s six NJCAA sports – men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball.
The road to a Division I baseball program has been filled with twists and turns for former Eunice High All-State catcher Joshua Youngblood.
Even with the social distancing restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, LSU Eunice baseball and softball coaches will hold summer camps.
LSU Eunice built a national powerhouse in baseball and softball as the two teams captured 12 national titles including one every year since 2010.
The Bengal baseball program earned titles in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2018.
LSUE athletics won 12 national titles in 14 seasons including every year since 2010.
The Lady Bengal softball team won NJCAA Division II championships in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019.
LSU Eunice’s sixth NJCAA Division II softball national championship was an impressive showing as the Lady Bengals finished the postseason undefeated for the first time in program history.
