Arthur Godfrey

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m., both at New Zion Baptist Church in Eunice for Arthur Alvin Godfrey, age 54. Burial will follow in the Honey Bee Cemetery in Eunice. Rev. Leonard C. Godfrey will be officiating at the services.
Godfrey, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 9:20 a.m. at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas.
Godfrey is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lelia S. Godfrey of Eunice; daughter, Lequitta Marie Simms Godfrey of San Diego, CA; brothers: Raymond Godfrey, Jr., Patrick B. Godfrey, and Rev. Leonard C. Godfrey, all of Eunice, and Edward Godfrey, Sr., of Beaumont, TX; sisters, Lelia Marie Hampton of Eunice, and Florestine M. Green of Beaumont, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Godfrey, Sr., two sisters, Mary Elaine Godfrey and Lynn Godfrey; one brother, Carl Godfrey, Sr.
Pallbearers will be: Randy Hampton, Jr., L.B. Morris, Jr., Carlos Wiltz, Carl Godfrey, Jr., Leonard Godfrey, Jr., Patrick Godfrey, Jr., and Tyronne Godfrey.
