Dr. Barry Daste, retired LSU professor emeritus

LAFAYETTE -- Services will be Thursday for Dr. Barry Daste, Marine Corps veterans and retired professor emeritus of the LSU School of Social Work. He died Saturday at age 66.
Daste joined LSU's faculty in 1971 and was associated dean of the School of Social Work for a number of years. He received the Distinguished Faculty Award in 2001.
Survivors include a daughter.
Arrangements are under direction of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home.
