Eunice Children's Mardi Gras parade

The annual Eunice Children's Mardi Gras run and parade prooved to be a success despite no sunshine on Sunday. Children and parents, alike, dressed in traditional Mardi Gras costumes. Some kids were bundled up in blankets as parade wagons and trailers traveled the
traditional Eunice Mardi Gras route. Chicken chases were held on muddy and wet grounds along the route, which seemed Not to bother the kids. The children's Mardi Gras route ended on Second Streets in Eunice, where parade watchers waited.
According to Robert Johnson, one of the Children's Mardi Gras coordinator, there were 43 vehicles- trailers registered and 300 children were registered. "Everything seemed and went smoothly."
