A 16-year-old boy, released from a juvenile life sentence, then arrested Tuesday for attempted first-degree murder, is free again in the custody of his parents, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.

Eunice Police was dispatched to LSUE campus on early Sunday morning responding to a call about a subject on campus near the Bengal Village apartments who was fighting and assaulting others.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said a third and final arrest was made Friday in a Christmas murder case.
Ville Platte Police arrested Kagon Serie, 29, of South Soileau Street, Ville Platte, at his home.
The case of the suspicious device found outside the Family Dollar Store at the Amy Shopping Center has been solved, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.
Laura Ann Williams, 46, of Corn Street, Eunice, was arrested Jan. 15 for her involvement in the Christmas morning homicide that occurred at her residence on Corn Street, according to Police Chief Randy Fontenot.
