The Eunice High School Emeralds were honored at a city council meeting for their cleanup efforts at the City Lake. Shown in a photo were Lauren Prather, Erica Joubert, Ashley Fontenot, Kelly Vidrine, Erin Ruppert, Tracy Veillon, Kristin Daigle, Erica Smith, Sara Soileau, Jessilyn Hoychick, Amber Olivier, Julie Vanderwater, Lauri Lee Harvey and Debra Manuel.
Eunice City Judge Lynette Feucht swore-in officers of the Eunice Junior High School Student Council. They were Shanee Burgess, Erin Johnson, Catherine Fontenot, Marcia Allison, Derek Dupre and Katie Deaville.
Lynn Venable was honored as the Catholic Daughter of the Year by Court Eunice.
The Eunice Pharr Duson statue project by the Xi Beta Theta chapter was completed with the installation of lighting. The chapter members met with Mayor Kenneth Peart to make a presentation. They were Shelva Vige, Gwen Courville, Sally Fruge, Lou Myers and Joan McManus.
East Elementary Students of the Month were Stephanie Carriere, Jolene Miller, Derrick Picard, Brittany Dupre, Elizabeth Huval and Conrad Andrus.
