A lesson learned at Vacation Bible School. First United Methodist Church held its Vacation Bible School this month. Jeremy Ortego taught the nine and ten-year-olds Bible lessons.

New Frey Building taking shape. American South Builders employees work on the new building at Frey Laundry Services on West Maple. The structure replaces one destroyed by a fire earlier this year. American South and Frey are under the same ownership.

Camp inspires young writers. Writing camp teacher/instructor Jill Dover, right, leads the camp participants in a writing exercise. There were no dark and stormy nights at the Word Up! Youth Writing Camp held at LSU Eunice this week, but there were plenty of new and original stories penned by the camp’s young authors.
