Highland students celebrate October birthdays. Highland Elementary recognized students who had birthdays in October. Students of the Week at Glendale Elementary. Glendale Elementary recognized its Students of the Week for Oct. 12 to Oct. 16. Donations to the programs. Highland Elementary’s artists. In 2008, First Lady Supriya Jindal dedicated a wall in Louisiana’s Governor’s Mansion to display children’s artwork from all over the state. New art is showcased monthly and Highland Elementary has chosen five pieces of artwork to submit. Standing from left are Haiden Hantz, Lance Kennedy, and Loronza Thomas. Students of the Month at East Elementary. East Elementary School recently recognized its October Students of the Month. Students are selected by their homeroom teacher on the basis of displaying appropriate behavior, having good attendance and doing their best academically. The children were presented with a Student of the Month ribbon, pencil, special bag of goodies from Adopt A School Super 1 Foods, and a poster which their homeroom teacher decorated and displayed. EHS Student Council donates to Food Bank. Eunice High School’s Student Council sponsored the second annual Powder Puff Football game during Homecoming Week.The money collected at the gate, $500, was donated to the Eunice Food Bank.
