The nature trail on Maple Avenue was reported as developing quickly with a pond, new landscaping, footpath and parking area. Jimmie Babineaux of Babineaux Concrete was pictured setting a form for a concrete walk.
John Schnyder of Lafayette was named best actor for his role in “Lend Me A Tenor” during the annual Irvings award ceremony. Other award-winners included Jody Powell, Debi Crawford, Rachel Richard, Maxine Pucheu, Jennifer Seale, David Manuel, Greg Swint, Glen Mentel, Randy Benoit, Rene Duplechain, Kathy Dischler, Doris Stagg, Beth Manuel, Becky Swint, Connie Thibodeaux and Amy Dischler.
