United Way seeks homeowners who were flooded

Homeowners who suffered flooding in August 2016 and are still in need of repairs are being sought by the St. Landry Evangeline United Way.
Susan Fisher, special projects coordinator, said only homeowners are eligible for the assistance.
Requirements for homeowners still in need of repairs are: must have proof of home ownership; type of damage; housing rebuild/repair; furniture/appliances needed; identification; FEMA funds awarded, if applicable; insurance funds awarded, if applicable; SBA funds awarded, if applicable; proof of income; inspection or assessment documents; permits, if obtained; and any estimates for the cost of work received by contractors.
