LAKE CHARLES - Just about the time police officers think they've seen everything a new monster proves them wrong.

CLINTON -- Arrangements are pending for Charles Shropshire, the first elected black district attorney in Louisiana. He died Sunday at age 57.

MARKSVILLE -- "Who turned us in?" police say a six-year-old asked after the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a drug bust.

RUSTON -- Services will be Wednesday for former newspaper and radio station owner Clarence E. Faulk, Jr. He died March 5 at age 101.

BATON ROUGE – LSU is an institution rich in history, having seen many landmark moments in its 150 years of operation, as well as paving the way for many other historical moments in Louisiana and worldwide.
As part of LSU’s sesquicentennial celebration of the founding of the university, Louisiana Public Broadcast and LSU have joined forces to create an hour-long documentary on the rich history of the university.

WINNSBORO -- Services for Mayor Jack Myron Hammons are Monday afternoon, March 5. He was 70.
