Learning to Paint with a Twist

Well, I finally did it! And I have the finished product hanging in my dining room to prove it.
My youngest daughter Megan invited me to go with her to a painting class, “Painting with A Twist,” offered in Lake Charles Saturday. The only one we could attend started at 7 p.m. and concluded at 10 p.m.

On Saturday morning, Feb. 20, at 3:03 a.m. someone felt it necessary to try to break into my home and rob me and possibly hurt me. Luckily, I was not at home.
They broke a window and busted one of my doors. I am fortunate enough to be able to afford ADT Security Services; therefore my alarm went off and scared them away.

Join the Big Read - Fahrenheit 451

Because Ray Bradbury has been my favorite American author for as long as I can remember, I was overjoyed to learn that “Fahrenheit 451” had been chosen for the first Big Read in Eunice.
“Fahrenheit 451” is an incredible book, set in the near future, during a time in which anti-intellectualism has reached an extreme, and books are burned.
