Public dumping resumes at landfill

Body

The St. Landry Parish solid waste landfill resumed public dumping at 6 a.m. today, according to Richard LeBouef, parish Solid Waste Commission executive director.
Compost and mulch services will also resume normal distribution hours, he stated in a news relase.
“We will continue to observe the precautions of COVID-19. We ask that you continue to practice social distancing at our ramp and other service facilities. Our office will remain closed to walk-in and foot traffic, but day to day operations will continue by phone and some staff working remotely,” he stated.
