Ching will be missed
Ching Veillon will be missed. Ching passed away last Thursday leaving behind a host of family and friends.
I first met Ching on the tennis circuit years ago. I enjoyed her laughter, smile and upbeat attitude on-and-off the court.
When we would meet on the tennis court we talked about school, tennis and our mutual friends. She always asked about my daughters and how they were progressing in school and college.
Ching was a genuine, sincere person. When having a conversation with her I knew she was listening to what I was saying. Some people brush you off and continue their way, but not Ching.
She was a leader and greeter. Always having something to say, even when you didn’t want to hear it! (Ha!)
I am sure those of you who knew her would agree that she had an unique laugh. I really can’t describe it. It was not a soft one or even a loud one, just an amusing one.
Her laughter was contagious. When Ching laughed in a room, everybody laughed along with her, even if we didn’t know what we were laughing about!
She loved telling jokes, and she had one for every time I met up with her. I often wondered where she got all her jokes.
She enjoyed playing tennis. And we enjoyed playing the sport with her.
I will miss you Ching and I am sure I can say all the ELTL members will miss you too.
