Kathy Henderson chosen Pink Lady of Month at volunteer meeting

The Pink Ladies of the Acadian Medical Center held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 6.
Lise Richard, president, called the meeting to order and Kathy Henderson read the pledge. Shirley Dietz led the group in prayer.
Theresa Corbello called the roll of members, 17 ladies were present. Helen Tanner read the minutes of the last meeting, all were approved. Jeanette Landreneau gave the treasurer’s report.
Alma Ortego received an award for the most sales in one day at the volunteer’s gift shop.
Kathy Henderson was named Pink Lady of the Month.
The Pink Ladies awarded scholarships to four students from LSUE; one from Basile, two from Eunice, and one from Ville Platte. They are Kylie Miller, respiratory therapy, Kelli Seilhan, rad tech, Cadi Pedigo, rad tech, and Jody Lambke, respiratory therapy. They each received $500 scholarships.
Celebrating August birthdays were Caroline Hodge, Bea Leonards, Winnie Lanclos, and Myrt Kuhlmann.
Everyone enjoyed lunch together. The next Pink Ladies meeting is scheduled for Sept. 3.
