EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bill Parrie announces his passing on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 82.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Frey Cemetery in Mowata with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant. 
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a language interpreter in Europe.
He was the owner and operator of numerous businesses including FrameMakers of Eunice.
He loved team roping, leather working and restoring the statutes and icons in the local Catholic Churches. He won many international awards for leather crafting, picture framing and gold leaf restoration.
He was respected internationally in the art and framing community for his many accomplishments including his tenure as Director of the National Art Gallery of Saudi Arabia. 
He was a wonderful father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Left to cherish his memory, his two sons, Jim Parrie and wife, Sheila and Paul Parrie all of New Orleans; his daughter, Teresa Stern and husband, Ben of Raleigh, N.C.; his brother, Elman J. Parrie and wife, Patricia of New Orleans; three grandchildren, Eric Parrie, Courtney Green and husband, Mike and Will Parrie; two great grandchildren, Axel and Lula Green; as well as extended family and friends. 
 He is preceded in death by his wife, of fifty five years, Maria del Pilar Parrie; his parents, Peter and Edna Bertrand Parrie.
