EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Darrell “Country Boy” Peres announces his passing on the morning of Thursday, October 04, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was 61.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Pastor Chris Frye officiating.
Darrell known as “Country Boy” was his trucker CB handle. He taught his children about family values and character, and was always supportive of his grandchildren’s activities. He was also an avid Saints fan. Darrell loved all who crossed his path and would help anyone in need. He was known for his vibrant smile and the love he gave. He loved each of his grandchildren and children and never left them feeling unloved. His courage and bravery will forever live inside the hearts of all.
Darrell will be missed by all who knew and loved him especially his son, Darrell Seth Peres and wife, Kara of Eunice; his three daughters, Cherie Crochet and companion, Rocky Orillion of Iota, Tammy Sittig and husband, Clint and Holly Fontenot and husband, Jr. all of Eunice; his mother-in-law, Emma Joyce Reed of Eunice; his three brothers, Ricky Luquette of Texas, Jerry Luquette of Mamou and William Granger and wife, April of Turkey Creek; his two sisters, Sandra Siffert and husband, James of Carencro and Carla Marks and husband, Harold of Sunset; his thirteen grandchildren, Kevin, Krislyn and Logan Manuel, Emily, Natalie and Alli Sittig, Brody Walker and Mallori Kate Fontenot, Rylee, Adalynn, Remi Peres, Tristen and Camielle Breaux; three grandchildren, Julianna Sittig, Braxten Richard and Jaxen Manuel; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Belinda Peres; mother, Flora Leger Granger; and his grandparents, Ernest and Lorraine Blanchard.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, October 05, 2018 from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm and again on Saturday, October 06, 2018 from 8:00 am until time of services.
