EUNICE~It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Elaine C. Guillory in the comfort of her own home with loving family by her side. She was 77.
A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis officiating.
Elaine, better known to some as “Big Banana,” worked forty plus years as a receptionist in the medical field.
She was a founding member of the Louisiana Right to Life and Eunice Chapter as well as a leader for the Camp Fire Girls and Cub Scouts.
She loved to do yard crafts, gardening and cutting grass, but most, of all she loved her role as Maw Maw Laine and her happiest times were spent creating memories with her grandkids.
A devoted wife whose memory will be carried on through her devoted husband of fifty eight years, Charles A. Guillory of Eunice; her four loving children, Kim G. Manuel and husband, Neal of Lafayette, Karen G. LeJeune and husband, Benny of Eunice, Jasper Guillory and husband, Anthony of Houston and Jude Guillory of Eunice; her two sisters, Ruth Rawls of Baton Rouge and JoAnn Augustine of Naples, FL. ; her five joys of her life, Christopher and Drake LeJeune, Eric and Emily Manuel and Lesli Guillory; two great grandchildren, Elena and Liam LeJeune. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Belle Bellow, her siblings, Agnes Ashford, Norma Jean Koshaba and John Courville.
Carrying her to her resting place will be Benny LeJeune, Chris LeJeune, Drake LeJeune, Neal Manuel, Dustin LeBlanc and Tommy Fontenot.
