EUNICE~It is with regret and heavy hearts that the family of Eraste "Crip" Dupre, Jr announces his passing on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age 88. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Saturday, Feb. 1, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant.
Eraste Dupre, Jr., better known as "Crip” was a salesman for LG Seale Tractor Company, Bordelon Ford and Fireside Life Insurance at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and cooking. But what he loved most was spending time with his loving family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his two sons Randy Dupre and wife, Connie of Youngsville, LA and Phil Fusilier and wife, Lynn of Tallahassee, FL; his brother, Dale Dupre and wife, Jalyne of Lafayette; his sister, Lucille Dupre McGee of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Brandon Fruge, Ashley Fruge, Scott Fusilier and Cynthia Fusilier-Rodgers; eight great grandchildren, Seth, Wesley, Lillian, Ethan, Gabrielle, Sofia, Connor and Austin; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Joyce Green Dupre; parents, Araste and Beatrice Darbonne Dupre; siblings, Abby, Hubert "Frenchie", Herbert "Chick", and Levoy Dupre.
At family request, visitation will be at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, January 31st from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, February 1st from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite Rosary at 6:30 pm on Friday.
