BASILE-It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Jane Vizena Burge announces her passing on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. She was 82.
A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at St. Augustine Mausoleum in Basile with Father Keenan Brown officiating.
Memories of Jane will remain forever in the hearts of her family and those who loved her especially her sons, Gene Burge and wife, Celeste of Basile and Brent Burge and wife, Cindy of Eunice; brothers, Dallas Wayne Vizena and wife, Linda of Ville Platte and Scotty J. Vizena and wife, Elva of Basile; seven grandchildren, Brian Burge, Tracy LaBauve, Lindsay Landry, Jordan Burge, Jennifer O’Neal, Jessilyn David, and Jeffery Burge and fourteen great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
Jane is preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene H. Burge, Sr. and Daniel Richard; parents, Dallas and Vernice Deshotel Vizena; and son and daughter in-law, Joseph Mack Burge and wife, Gloria L. Burge.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Savoy Indigent Patient Support Program, P.O. Box 359, Mamou, LA 70554.
