According to Eunice Police, a man shrugged off two TASER hits while attempting to prevent an officer from arresting his wife.

According to police reports, at 2:32 a.m. Friday, Officer Forrest Robinson observed a vehicle driving erratically on Ash Street.

The driver allegedly failed to pull over when Robinson signalled, leading to a low-speed chase to the driver’s home.

Arriving at the driver’s residence, Robinson attempted to arrest the woman, who appeared intoxicated, but the woman resisted.

The woman’s husband then came out of the house, and attempted to interfere, according to police.

Robinson deployed his TASER twice to little effect, according to police, who said the man pulled the TASER probes out.

Pepper spray was then used on the man, after which the report indicates he complied with police instructions.

Arrested were:

Anshie Dupre, 39, reckless operation, flight from an officer, resisting arrest and DWI first offense;

Joseph W. Dupre, 46, interference with duties of a police officer and resisting an officer.
