The defending softball national champion LSU Eunice Lady Bengal softball team released its2017 schedule this week.
“I was looking to get a few more home games but it looks like we are playing 75 percent of our games on the road,” LSUE head coach said. “That should toughen us up as we go through early season challenges.”
The Lady Bengals open the season at the Galveston College Tournament during the last weekend in January.

LSUE will face the University of Houston– Victoria and Tyler Junior College (Jan. 27) and close the weekend against Kilgore College, Snead State, and Baton Rouge (Jan. 28).
“It is a good way to start and get a benchmark to see how we are going to look this year.”
After Galveston, LSUE returns home for a series of games with Lake Land College, Coffeyville, and Collin County on February 3-4.
On Feb. 9, the Lady Bengals host Faulkner State.
LSUE returns to the tournament circuit with three tournaments in February.
