DERIDDER – St. Edmund outscored East Beauregard 6-1 in the extra period as the Lady Jays grabbed a 47-42 overtime win.
Gabby Fontenot pushed four points and Allison Lafleur added two free throws to help seal the Lady Jay win.
The Lady Jays jumped out to a 10-3 first quarter lead, sparked by four points from Maggie Larriviere.
Abby Miller, Fontenot and Camille Leger added buckets in the first period for the Lady Jays.
The second quarter was a battle as St. Edmund outscored East Beauregard, 11-9.
Fontenot exploded for seven points to aid the Laday Jays, while Miller and Lafleur added two points each.
St. Edmund took a 21-12 lead into the locker room, but the Lady Trojans went on 15-8 third-period run to close the gap to two points.
Tori Harris pushed in seven points for the Lady Trojans, while Karlei Thompson added five points in the quarter.
Kinsley Marcantel scored four points to lead the Lady Jays, while Lafleur and Miller added a bucket to give St, Edmund a 29-27 advantage heading into the final period.
East Beauregard won the fourth quarter, outscoring the Lady Jays, 14-12 to force the extra period.
Malli Bartz led the Lady Trojans with six points in the period. while Kailey Bailey and Baylee McBride chipped in four points each.
Miller and Fontenot sparked St. Edmund with five points each, while Lafleur added a bucket.
Fontenot finished with 18 points, while Miller contributed 11 points for St. Edmund.
Martz finished with 12 points for East Beauregard.
St. Edmund entertains Notre Dame 6 p.m. Tueday.

East Beauregard exploded for a 28-8 first half surge as the Trojans cruised to a 57-17 win over St. Edmund.
Devin Perkins pushed in eight points in the period for the Trojans, including two treys as East Beauregard held a 15-5 first quarter lead.
Austin Gradney hit a three-pointer for the Jays, while Carter Andrus scored the other bucket for St. Edmund.
East Beauregard outscored the Jays 13-3 in the second period as Perkins added four more points.
Christian Fontenot accounted for all of the Jays’ points in the quarter.
The Trojans continued to expand its lead with an 11-4 run to open the second half.
M.J. Willianas scored four points for the Trojans, while Garron Collins added a trey.
Andrus drilled a three-pointer and Bryce Vidrine hit a free throw to account for the Blue Jay scoring.
East Beauregard completed the night with an 18-5 run in the fourth quarter.
Chris Brown pusheed in seven points, while Noah Gill added four more in the period.
Blue Jays Gradney and Stephan Thibodeaux scored buckets and Alex Dupre hit a free throw in the fourth quarter.
Noah Holland led the Trojans with 13 points, while Perkins chipped in 12 points.
Andrus and Gradney led St. Edmund with five points each.
