A 33-year-old Opelousas woman is accused of cruelty to an infirmed person.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said Rachael Lynn Tresner, 33, of the 3800 block of Highway 35, was employed a caretaker for the victim.

St. Landry Parish president Jessie Bellard announced Thursday that the parish’s animal control department would be temporarily unable to handle calls.
A Washington man’s arrest netted two stolen ATVs and a trailer, according to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
