Honoring those who have served and are serving the military resonated at the Veterans Day ceremony held at VFW Post 8971 on Monday.
Veterans were honored in a ceremony Monday at the VFW Post 8971 highlighted by each veteran invited to state their name and service.
They did not go to the LSU game on Saturday. They did not go hunting or fishing.
Instead scores of people headed to VFW Post 8971 to observe Veterans Day.

Among the veterans planning to attend Veterans Day ceremonies Saturday at VFW Post 8971 is retired Staff Sgt. Micah Crader of Eunice.
The annual Veteran’s Day program will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the VFW Post 8971 on U.S. 190 east of Eunice.
