Luke, a resident of Eunice, La., died on Sunday, October 14, 2012 in Lafayette, La.
Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Linda Bertrand Darby, of Eunice, La.; his maternal grandfather, Clay Bertrand, of Opelousas, La.; his paternal grandparents, Floyd Luke and Ethel Mae Daire Darby of Opelousas, La.; his Aunt Susan Marie Darby of Opelousas, La.; Aunt Cynthia Ann Ortego and Uncle Gary Ortego of Prairieville, La.; his Uncle Mitchell John Darby and Aunt Jennifer Speyrer Darby of Lafayette, La.; his Uncle Les Bertrand of Lafayette, La.; his Aunt Nicole Bertrand Matt and Uncle Travis Matt of Alexandria, La.; his Godmother and Aunt Jullie Monique Cormier and Uncle Matt Cormier of Arnaudville, La.; his Godfather Michael Dane Fitzgerald; his cousins, Jill Renée Ventre of Lake Charles, La.; Travis Christopher Ortego of Prairieville, La.; Katie Lee Ortego of Prairieville, La.; Nicholas John Darby of Lafayette, La.; Lane Mitchell Darby of Lafayette, La.; Clay Matthew Cormier of Arnaudville, La.; Caine Michael Cormier of Arnaudville, La.; Harli Nicole Matt, Alli Monique Matt and Jadi Dain Matt all of Alexandria, La.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joyce D. Stelly Bertrand; his Aunt Lisa Marie Bertrand; his Uncle Floyd Luke Darby, Jr. and his cousin Amie Elizabeth Ortego.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday at 8:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Travis Ortego, Kenneth Johnson, Mitch Darby, Clay Cormier, Michael Dane Fitzgerald, Neil Guillory and honorary pallbearers will be Gary Ortego, Matt Cormier, Ronnie Fontenot and Alex Bollich.
Arrangements are by Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.
