Zederick Gibson was arrested Nov. 2 in Lafayette, then taken to the Acadia Parish jail and booked on 2nd degree battery charges.
He was moved Monday to Eunice and booked on simple battery and criminal damage to property counts.
All of the charges stem from his allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend.
On Sept. 21, the Eunice Police Department responded to the Bengal Village Apartment Complex on the LSU Eunice campus after receiving a report of a female being assaulted.
An ambulance was called to render aid to the 19-year-old female victim. During the investigation officers learned that Gibson was driving by when he spotted her, got out and allegedly attacked her.
The victim was punched in the face and knocked to the ground. Gibson then allegedly destroyed her cell phone by slamming on the cement parking lot.
While the victim was lying on the ground Gibson poured his alcoholic beverage on her before leaving. Warrants for criminal damage to property and simple battery were issued.
On Wednesday, Oct. 17, the same woman was allegedly attacked by the same individual who was waiting for her near the apartment building.
This time Gibson allegedly punched her in the mouth causing injuries and the loss of teeth. He then fled the area.
