Ray and Margaret Istre of Crowley are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Casey Leigh to Shawn Edward Gonsoulin, son of Douglas and Elizabeth Gonsoulin of Crowley.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Melancon of Crowley and the late Burkin James Melancon and Widley Istre of Crowley and the late Lois Istre.

Casey is a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame High School and is currently employed with Acadiana Gastroenterology Associates in Lafayette.

The son is the grandson of Nanette LeBlanc of Rayne and the late Lloyd Joseph LeBlanc and Betty Lois and Roger E. Gonsoulin of Maurice.

Shawn is a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame High School and is currently employed with B.J. Services in Broussard.

The couple will be married during a 7 p.m. ceremony on August 9, 2008, at St. Michael Catholic Church. Father Gary Schexnayder will officiate.
