The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, Fire District Two, Louisiana State Police and Acadian Ambulance responded to a single vehicle accident shortly after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, January 28. The vehicle lost control and hit a parked trailer on state Highway 29 in a curve, south of Chataignier in Evangeline Parish. Two occupants were in the vehicle and transported to the hospital. The fire district sent 11 firefighters to the scene to assist with removing an occupant from the vehicle, along with a truck from Ville Platte and one from Chataignier.
