Eunice High held its annual Academic Excellence Program Thursday morning honoring its ACE Lettermen and Senior Hall of Fame.

Named to the Senior Hall of Fame were Vik Singh, Katie Klein, Jenna Fusilier, Tyler Collins, Jami Stelly, Tiffany Minick, Tyler Minick, Haley Feucht, Alex Morris, Mitchell Fuselier and Kendall Sam.

To be inducted into the Senior Hall of Fame a student is nominated by their teachers.

The process continues by the student filling out a resume. Then the students are voted on by teachers. The nominations and selections are determined by the student’s leadership, fellowship, character and scholastic achievements. To be recognized as an ACE Lettermen (Academics Counts at EHS) a student must be enrolled in Eunice High’s Academic Curriculum for Excellence (A.C.E.) and must have completed at least 5 semesters of the ACE program (three of which must be at EHS), must have earned a minimum cumulative 3.3 GPA in the curriculum.

A student has four opportunities to earn an academic letter before he graduates, at the end of each fall or spring semester during his/her junior or senior year. The ACE curriculum for academic lettering consists of the following subjects: English I, II, III & IV, Algebra I, Geometry/Trigonometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Computer Science, Civics, Free Enterprise, American History, one other unit of social studies and one unit of foregin language.
