The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 12 bookings in the parish jail from January 6, through January 12.

Arrested were the following:

•Coby Jake Darbonne, 21, 2028 Belaire Cove Road, Ville Platte, was charged January 6, with theft over $500. Darbonne was released on a $10,000 bond.

•Delores Rivera, 61, 1036 Hazelton Lane, Turkey Creek, was charged January 7, with issuing a worthless check. Rivera was released on a $450 bond.

•Marion Pierrotti Jr., 62, 613 Mulberry St., Mamou, was charged January 7, with insurance fraud and theft over $500. Pierrotti was released on a $10,000 bond.

•Archillus Randall Hebert, 21, 200 Roosevelt St., Eunice, was charged January 7, with possession of marijuana. Hebert was released on a $1,000 bond.

•Lannis Melvin, 24, 412 West Cypress St., Ville Platte, was charged January 7, with driving under suspension. Melvin was released on a $466.50 bond.

•Raylynn Michelle Carson, 22, 1391 Zenon Road, Mamou, was charged January 8, with aggravated assault. Carson was released on a $5,000 bond.

•Phillip Kerk Fontenot, 458 Clover Lane, Ville Platte, was charged January 8, with simple battery. Fontenot was released on a $1,000 bond.

•Terrus Rico Arvie, 25, 506 North Chataignier St., Ville Platte, was charged January 12, with reckless operation, flight from an officer, aggravated flight from an officer, no seat belt, open container, failure to use turn signal, passing in a no passing zone, resisting arrest and no proof of insurance. Arvie remained incarcerated on a $20,000 bond.

•Wanda Griffin, 43, 1026 West Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged January 12, with attempted second-degree battery, battery on a police officer (two counts) and self mutilation by a prisoner. Griffin remained incarcerated on a $50,000 bond.

•Louis Clark Guillory, 45, 1061 Farrell Cove Road, St. Landry, was charged January 12, with simple burglary and theft. Guillory remained incarcerated on a $10,000 bond.

•Jeremy Simpson Lavergne, 28, 254 Leon St., Ville Platte, was charged January 12, with issuing worthless checks (two counts). Lavergne remained incarcerated on an $850 bond.

•Joseph Lee Willis, 21, 1458 Veterans Memorial Highway, Ville Platte, was charged January 12, with introducing contraband (cocaine) into a penal institution. At press time, no bond information was available.
