Constance Fontenot and Kalib McGee were wed on June 1 at a special destination in Artist Point on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, Colorado.
The private ceremony on the mountain top was attended by friends and family members. Those friends, helping to celebrate the couple, included Lyndsey Ardoin, Margaret Vidrine, Mollie Heinen, Gabrielle Joyce, Mason Deshotel, Peyton Smith, and Josh Bertrand. Waiting back in Louisiana was a son Samuel Vidrine.
The mother of the bride is Holly LaFleur Fontenot of Eunice, and father and step-mother are Timmy and Heather Mazeitis Fontenot of Mamou.
Parents of the groom are Jerrod and Monique Austin McGee of Basile.
The bride’s maternal grandparents are Dr. Gary and Amanda LaFleur of Eunice and paternal grandparents are Alfred and Jannie Guidry of Breaux Bridge and Mike and Delores Fontenot of Ville Platte.
The groom’s maternal grandparents are Bob and the late Peggy Johnson, and the late Grady Austin, and paternal grandparents of the groom are George and the late Belinda McGee, and Faye and the late Richard Yoder.
Although the forecast of the wedding day called for rain, the sky turned clear with the sun shining down upon the couple as they made their wedding vows to one another. Mother Nature surrounded them on their special day, as just a few steps from where the couple stood, there was a clear view of snow-capped Rocky Mountains.
The bride was radiant in a white spaghetti strap, sweetheart gown accented with delicate tulle layered skirting. The bodice of the gown featured delicate beading and pearls. The bride wore accessories, which included brown hiking boots and a gold beaded headpiece crown with a tulle floor-length veil attached.
The groom wore a navy blue suit with brown dress shoes and accents of blush to match the bride’s bouquet of cranberry, blush, green, and white florals. The groom wore a floral and yellow blind-fold when he first arrived to avoid seeing the bride before the ceremony.
Following the wedding, the couple traveled to Lavertezzo, Switzerland to honeymoon in the beauty of the Italian Alps.
