911 ceremony at Eunice Circle Park

In Honor and Remembrance ceremony was held Tuesday evening at the Eunice Circle Park. The 911 (Sept. 11) ceremony was sponsored by Woodmen of the Life Chapter 243 in conjunction with VFW Post 8971, American Legion Post 129 and the DAV Chapter 19.
The ceremony, presented each year, is given to pay honor and recognition to the heroes and victims of Sept. 11, 2001 and for the community to never forget that tragic day on Sept. 11, 2001.
“We also pay tribute to members of the military, both current and past, who selflessly protect America’s freedom and liberty, and also on a local level, all who give their energy, and dedication to protect and serve us, those firefighters, policemen and medical technicians. They put their lives on the line for our safety,” said Evelyn Stringer, president of the Woodmen of Life.
