Eunice Police arrests

The following are arrests by Eunice Police.
January 22
Jerry Ross Vidrine, 32, 700 block of Tate Street, Eunice. Simple criminal damage to property and theft less than $1,000.
Nathan T. Chaddick, 25, 1500 block of West Magnolia, Eunice. Bench warrants.
Darius D. Stevens, 32, 1800 block of Ninth Street, Lake Charles. Bench warrant.
Oscar P. Leblanc, 26, 1600 block of North Main Street, Jennings. Contempt of court.

Solar panels stolen from Mowata house

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the felony theft of solar panels from the 29000 block of Crowley Eunice Highway in the community of Mowata.
The theft occurred between 5 p.m. Jan. 7 and 3:30 p.m. Jan. 8.
Twenty-four solar panels, a converter box and a meter were stolen from a home that was being remodeled. Total value of the theft is over $25,000.
Anyone with information regarding the crime, is urged to call the tips line at 789-TIPS or download the P3 app on a mobile device to report a tip anonymously.

Man killed in Palmetto shooting

St. Landry Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz has confirmed that his office responded to a shooting on Carmons Road in the Palmetto area at about 11 p.m. on Sunday.
The shooting resulted in the death of a 28-year-old black male from Palmetto. =
Detectives are working on the case and no further information is being given at this time.
