St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
March 27
Cynthia Kelli Lamke Broussard, 41, 1100 block of Cedar Ridge Road, St. Landry. Bench warrant (two counts), off bond (to counts). Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Hunter Gentry Taylor, 19, 100 block of Cimmaron Drive, Opelousas. Bench warrant. Arrested by Palmetto Police.
Patrick Dwayne Bryant, 42, 600 block of Sapphire Street, Opelousas. Off bond, bench warrant. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

A tanker trailer similar to this one was recently stolen from the Exit 80 Travel Plaza. Anyone with information concerning the theft is urged to call 789-TIPS.

Tips sought in recent theft of tanker trailer at truck stop

The Crowley Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish are asking the public’s help in investigating the felony theft of a semi trailer.
The theft occurred at Exit 80 Travel Plaza located at 2011 N. Cherokee Drive in Crowley on March 7.
Unknown suspect(s) hauled the tanker trailer from the parking lot. It was reported to be empty and is described as a black, 2012, 40-foot Roughneck Vacuum semi trailer with a Louisiana license plate.

UPDATE: Crowley police investigating shooting with injuries

The Crowley Police Dept. is investigating a shooting that resulted in injury to one victim.
According to Chief Jimmy Broussard, a CPD officer on patrol happened to be in the immediate vicinity of the shooting - on W. Fifth St. - at the time it occurred, approximately 7:24 p.m.
Reports from witnesses indicate that the male victim was outdoors when a vehicle came upon the scene and that more than one shooter emerged from the vehicle and began firing.
Multiple rifle casings were found on West Fifth between Avenues A and B.
