Derrick Allen Williams, 31, 2500 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Lafayette. Bench warrant. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Erin Leeann Garcia, 22, 200 block of Wallace Road, Carencro. Hold for St. Martin Parish. Arrested by Louisiana State Police.
Billy Wayne Williams, 55, 1300 block of Park Avenue, Opelousas. Sexual battery. Arrested by Opelousas Police.

Cody James Arceneaux, 28, 900 block of South Main Street, Opelousas. Second-degree murder. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Noah Joshua Higginbotham, 17, 100 block of Lydia Street, Port Barre. Domestic abuse battery (strangulation). Arrested by Port Barre Police Department.
Cory Michael Frazier, 29, 2700 block of Highway 178, Sunset. Domestic abuse battery (child endangerment), sexual battery. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Opelousas man arrested In connection with St. Landry Parish church fires

An Opelousas man has been taken into custody in connection with arson fires at three churches in St. Landry Parish.
Holden Matthews, 21, was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on three counts of Simple Arson of a Religious Building.
On March 26, a fire was reported at the St. Mary Baptist Church in the 100 block of Saqueget Road in Port Barre.
On April 2, a fire was reported at the Greater Union Baptist Church in the 1400 block of Hwy 742 in Opelousas.

Eunice man faces multiple charges after deputies search

Norman James Ceasar, 30, of the 300 block of West Ardoin Street, Eunice, faces multiple charges after St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Department detectives executive a search warrant at his residence, according to a news release from Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
On April 4, detectives made contact withe Ceasar and two children in the resident as they initiated a search of house, property and any vehicles that were parked on his property, Guidoz said.
Ceasar was advised of his rights and stated that there were no illegal narcotics on his property. Guidroz said.
