The following are arrests by Eunice Police.
June 1
Kalon Frank, 20, 4300 block of Hwy. 10, Washington. Warrant for aggravated battery and second-degree battery.
Christopher Ashworth, 36, 1600 block of West Vine, Eunice. Warrant for probation violation.
Wayne Keith Hammond, 29, 600 block of College Road, Eunice. Disturbing the peace.
Kenneth Guillory, 19, 1600 West Vine, Eunice. Probation violation.
Kevin J. Bernard, 40, 500 block of Martin Luther King, Opelousas. Possession of marijuana.

Zachary Daigle, 20, of Church Point

Church Point man charged with armed robbery

A 20-year-old Church Point man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of farm workers Thursday on Maggie Lane near Church Point.
Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson identified the man as Zachary Daigle, 20, of Church Point. Daigle was charged with armed robbery and has been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail, he said.
Daigle’s bail was set at $100,000.
Gibson said in a news release that Daigle used his vehicle to block a vehicle driven by farm workers at about 5 p.m. Thursday.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating the theft of an 8-foot white cargo utility trailer from Forest Park Church of Christ, located at 19326 Crowley-Eunice Hwy. that occurred at 6:30 a.m. May 5.

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to solve a crime.
The Crowley Police Department is investigating the theft of an 8-foot white cargo utility trailer from Forest Park Church of Christ, located at 19326 Crowley-Eunice Hwy. that occurred at 6:30 a.m. May 5.
Suspects were captured on video surveillance stealing the cargo trailer. One suspect exited the wooded area and was only described as a white male, shirtless, wearing black shorts. The vehicle was an older model tan Chevrolet Tahoe.

St. Landry Crime Stoppers: 4 wanted for sex crimes

St. Landry Crime Stoppers needs help in apprehending four fugitives wanted for sex crimes by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Eliezer Lloret is wanted in reference to rape in St. Landry Parish and unrelated charges by the Lafayette Sheriff’s Office. He has an address at 116 I-49 North Service Road; Lot 4 and addresses in Lafayette. Lloretis is extremely dangerous and has served six years hard labor for attempted manslaughter.

Police: Washington man charged with rape after being shot

A 23-year-old man who was shot in the right leg, was later charged with first-degree rape, Eunice Police Deputy Chief Richard Daigle said.
Darraine Robinson, 23, 4300 block of Hwy. 10, Washington, was arrested Tuesday on the rape charge.
The rape reportedly occurred in October 2016 and involved a 15- or 16-year-old girl who became pregnant, he said.
Robinson is accused of abducting the girl while she was on her way home from school, driving to a unknown location where he forced her to have sex. Daigle said. Robinson then drove the girl home, he said.
