Sunday shooting victim ID’d

Police have officially released the name of the man killed in a shooting here Sunday afternoon.
According to Police Chief Jimmy Broussard, Brydon “B.K.” Gray, 26, died after being shot multiple times outside a residence in the 700 block of Leslie Amos Street around 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Police have not named a suspect in the shooting, however, Broussard said investigators “are following several leads in reference to identifying a person of interest.”

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Nov. 2
Gaige Joshua Ellis, 19, 400 block of Main Street, Krotz Springs. Terrorizing (two counts), telephone harassment. Arrested by Krotz Springs Police Department.
Jaylin Lamb, 22, 100 block of Orchid Drive, Opelousas. Second- degree murder. Arrested by Opelousas Police.
Darrius Jamar Johnson, 30, 200 block of Cougar Ridge, Lafayette DWI 1st offense, speeding. Arrested by Louisiana State Police.

More arrests in Coburn’s theft case

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a series of thefts from Coburn’s Supply Company warehouse on 120 E. Magnolia Ave., Eunice.
Those arrested are:
Frank Travasky, 21, 300 block of North St. Joseph, Eunice. Unauthorized entry of a place of business and theft valued $25,000 or more.
Rusty Wade Jack, 28, 2900 block of Veteran Memorial Highway 13, Mamou. Theft, unauthorized entry of a place of business (three counts). Arrested by Eunice Police.
The thefts occurred over about a year from the warehouse.
