Aug. 30
05:24 911 call about female falling out of a tree stand at Eula and West Magnolia.
05:31 Loud music at Juanita and B&B.
07:10 Caller saw a group of guys running into a residence with guns in the 800 block of South Beulah.
08:19 Male at at North 12th and Magnolia trying to sell tobacco products.
12:11 Complaint about three little dogs tied up at library in sun with no water.
12:25 Man threw something in yard in the 300 block of Reed and left.

Eunice Police arrests

The following are arrests by Eunice Police.
Aug. 30
Angela Rene Henry, 35, 700 block of Third Street, Mamou. Warrant.
Juvenile, 16, Eunice. Disturbing the peace.
Juvenile, 14, Eunice. Disturbing the peace.
Demondre Desmond Terry, 21, 400 block of Jelks Street, Eunice. Probation violation.
Kenneth Mire, 49, 400 block of South Street, Eunice. Simple criminal damage to property and theft less than $1,000.

Acadia Parish crash claims 2 lives

A two-vehicle crash resulted in two men suffering fatal injuries on La. 3070 (McCain Road) at La. 98 in Acadia Parish shortly before 7:30 a.m. Thursday, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police Troop I.
Police identified the victms as 40-year-old Carlos Lazo of Duson and 28-year-old Luis Estrada of Scott.

Trio arrested in Acadia Parish

Three people were arrested after Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office investigators executed a search warrant in the 7200 block of the Church Point Highway in Branch on Wednesday afternoon.
Sheriff KP Gibson stated in a news release, “The search was in regards to an open investigation of stolen property. The search led to the recovery of a stolen Harley Davidson motorcycle, illegal firearms and illegal drugs.”
Deputies recovered a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, several firearms with one being a sawed off shotgun and 15 grams of methamphetamine.

Missing juvenile

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Racquel Heaven Malone who left her foster home near Basile during the night or early morning hours of Aug. 21 – 22 and has not been seen since.
Malone is described as a white female, medium build, 5’4” in height, weighing 130 pounds with long black hair and brown eyes.
