Iniya Frances Rene’ is named the 2016 Eunice Junior High Student of the Year.
She was chosen among nine qualifying candidates. Rene’ is an honor student with a current GPA of 3.8. She is active in all classroom discussions, and is currently co-editor of the schools Yearbook committee.
Rene’ is also on the Flag Raising committee, responsible for displaying the American Flag proudly each day.
At home Rene’ enjoys reading, watching TV, and playing X-BOX games. Also, like many in south Louisiana, great southern foods she enjoys. When asked what her favorite food is, Rene’ says that while she doesn’t have a favorite food, if she were to constantly eat the same food, it would be eggplant casserole.
She is the younger of two siblings in her family. She says her older brother is her role model.
Rene’ is the 13-year-old daughter of Larry and Selina Rene’ of Church Point.
