Officials and employees of the United Home Care Services are joined by public officials, Chamber of Commerce members and other well-wishers at the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting at their new Moosa Blvd. quarters.
JA holds StoryTime at Library. The Eunice Ladies Junior Auxiliary held its monthly storytime on Saturday, March 7. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Sarah Chapman read, “The Leprechaun’s Gold,” written by Pamela Edwards and illustrated by Henry Cole. In keeping with the theme, Chapman gave a green shamrock sticker and green-colored popcorn to each of the children in attendance. Above Chapman reads as her daughter looks on. There will be storytimes held again in April and May. The reading hour will discontinue after May to allow the summer ready program to begin.

Highland kids get life lesson. Eric Wowoh, right, distributes boxes of school supplies and uniforms sent to Heart of Grace Elementary School in Liberia by Highland Elementary students. Heart of Grace is the only free public school in the African nation tortured by 16 years of civil war.
