Dad dreaded daylight saving time

Impairment suspected in fatal head-on crash

Shortly before 4:30 am on March 4, troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash on U.S. 71 near Nursery Home Road in St. Landry Parish. The crash took the life of 19-year-old Hunter Bordelon of Plaucheville.

Suspect but no arrest in fatal hit and run

A 60-year-old Eunice man was the victim of a hit and run on West Maple Avenue at Jelks Street on Friday, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. Fontenot identified the man killed in the incident as William “Billy” Heinen.

Herman Louis LaTour

Herman Louis LaTour passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the age of 92. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 12:30 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Chataignier. Deacon David Guillory will officiate.
