Teen arrested, identified in Rayne post game shooting

The 15-year old juvenile arrested last week in connection with a shooting here has been named.
Police Chief Carroll J. Stelly announced Thursday that Jeremy Dugas has been charged with attempted second-degree murder after jurisdiction for the case was transferred to adult court.
Dugas was the third person arrested in connection with the shooting that occurred Oct. 11.
Police say Dugas is believed to have shot at individuals on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Armstrong Middle School — where he was a student — before traveling about a half mile to Stadium Drive near Rayne High School where more shots were fired, apparently at cars belonging to people at the Rayne vs Eunice football game in the nearby stadium.
Police working security at the football game responded to the gunshots there and, while investigating there, were notified that a gunshot victim had been reported at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Police arrested Darrell Jamel Nickerson, 20, the next day, charging him with attempted first-degree murder, illegal carrying of weapons, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and disruption of school operations.
On Monday, police arrested Aaron Redeaux, 19, on the charge of attempted second-degree murder in connection with the incident.
Dugas was arrested Oct. 14.
Later that day, at just past 7 p.m. Wednesday, officers arrested Christian Robinson, 21, for his alleged involvement in the cover-up of the incident, according to Stelly.
Robinson is in the parish jail on charges of illegal possession of a stolen firearm, possession of Schedule II narcotics and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug-free zone.
Stelly said the investigation is continuing.
