KEB Clean-up Day is Saturday
The statewide Love the Boot cleanup will be from 8:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. with registration Saturday at the Eunice City Hall.

Prosecutors with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office obtained a 36 count grand jury indictment in Evangeline Parish on April 10 regarding voter fraud between May and November of 2022 during the general election.
Two Martin brand accordions stolen in a burglary in the 5900 block of Vine Street in Chataignier were located at a Eunice pawn shop, according to a news release from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office.

As the high school softball season enters the final week of the regular season, several local teams are hoping to move up in the LHSAA power rankings and gain a good seed for the playoff brackets.

VILLE PLATTE – In a clash between district rivals, St. Edmund used a strong finish as the Blue Jays cruised to a 13-4 win on Monday over Sacred Heart of Ville Platte.
Megan Brown’s fifth grade students at St. Edmund Elementary had to analyze and interpret data and engage in argument from evidence to explain locations, interactions, and characteristics of objects in space.
Who doesn’t love a wedding? Well, if you’re a resident of New Edinburgh, Mississippi, you may love it but you are holding your breath to see if it happens.
The Belly Buddies Color Fun Run was held Saturday morning, and Katie Richard, founder and executive director, said it was a huge success. According to Richard there were nearly 500 entries for the run.
A cloud cover and occasional rain hindered the eclipse viewing at LSUE on Monday, but there were glimpses of the celestial event.
A huge crowd was at the Northwest Community pavilion Saturday for the 37th annual World-wide Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off.
