Harold John Miller Jr., 40, 700 block of Tasso Loop, Eunice. Theft by fraud.
Imani Alise Maryland, 20, 6400 bloc of East Stubbs Road, Atlanta, Georgia. Unauthorized use of a moveable; suspended license/operating vehicle. Arrested by Louisiana State Police.

May 18
Drake Christopher Pickney, 28, 700 block of East Perrault Street, Opelousas. Bench warrant, false imprisonment, aggravated battery, aggravated assault w/firearm.
Ali Rene Cashio, 23, 500 block of Walnut Street, Melville. Simple battery.
Steven Kade Turner, 28, 2600 block of Perchville Road, Eunice. Simple criminal damage; unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Arrested by Eunice Police.

Concealed permit class scheduled

The St. Landry Sheriff’s Office will be instructing a state certified concealed handgun course at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
The course is hosted by Harmony Lodge 211 W. Park Ave., Eunice.
All proceeds go to local charities.
The course is $100 and $80 for the spouse. The price includes everything needed to apply for the state permit and is done in one day.

Tevin L. Griffin, 25, 900 block of Celeste Street, Opelousas. Suspended license; public intimidation. Arrested by Washington Police Dept.
Danny Shane Fontenot, 47, 300 block of Deville Road, Opelousas. Bench warrant, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Clayton Jonathan Johnson, 31, 700 block of Lewis Street, Eunice. Two counts of failure to register as sex offender; special sex offender ID cards required.

Eunice man already in jail for a 2016 killing says he killed his great-uncle in 2011

A 23-year-old Eunice man held in prison for a 2016 killing in Eunice now says he killed his great-uncle in 2011 and dumped the body in the Atchafalaya River across from Krotz Springs.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said Phillip Foster Lafleur, 23, of the 300 block of North 12th Street, Eunice, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his great-uncle, Dale Lafleur.
