The Third annual Parade of Paws

One may ask “Who let the Dogs Out?” Saturday afternoon as the third annual Parade of Paws parade of canines walked past South Second Street.
The third annual Parade of Paws was held Saturday afternoon at downtown second street. There were 15 participants, canines that is, were registered for the event. There were, small as well as large breeds, dressed in Mardi Gras clad. Ribbons, gift cards, and $100 in cash to the first place winner, was announced by Parade of Paws coordinator Jerica Guillory. All proceeds from entry fees will go to animals in need in Eunice.
The Mayor’s Choice ribbon went to Henry, a 10-month-old Great Dane and Retriever Poodle mix breed. The owner is Rex Brown of Eunice.
Remie Fontenot, a female Maltese, won the Totally Unpredictable ribbon and also won second place. The owner of Remie is Leslie Fontenot of Eunice.
The Most Creative ribbon went to a Akali Mouton, an American Pitt Bull breed. The owner is Cescalie D. Mouton of Eunice. Akali took third place also.
Tucker, a seven-year-old male Schnauzer won The Cajun Classic ribbon. His owner is Ching Wasmuth of Eunice.
Winning first place in the Parade of Paws annual parade was Captain Pedigo, a 3 year old male Pug breed. The owner is Tiffany W. Pedigo of Eunice.
