The Tri-Parish workforce grew by 496 people in March compared to a year ago, but unemployment rates were up, according to data released by the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

CDA Court 208 leads Rosary in May
The Catholic Daughters of Americas Court 208 will lead a Rosary everyday at 5:30 p.m. in May in front of the Blessed Mother statute. On Sundays in May the time will be 5:15 p.m.

LSUE presents Kettlebell 101
LSUE will have a Kettlebell 101 classes Mondays and Wednesdays, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. through May 15. Eight classes will be offered.

Student clear bag guidelines approved

All St. Landry Parish public school students must have a clear or mesh backpack in a policy to be approved by the School Board at its May 2 meeting.
