LSU Board OKs naming building in honor of Mumphrey

The LSU Board of Regents approved renaming the Acadian Center to the Dr. Anthony Mumphrey Center at its monthly meeting Friday. The building will now honor Dr. Anthony Mumphrey, the first chancellor of LSU Eunice and one of its earliest champions.

A student makes her way Friday toward the Acadian Center on the Louisiana State University Eunice campus. The Acadian Center is undergoing a $250,000 renovation project as part of a plan to improve student recruitment.
